So, last night, we put a few sodas in the fridge. Its a 4.3 cubic feet compact fridge (Model Number: WMR04BAPBBB And its a GE), and some coleslaw.

I check this morning, and everything in there was thawed. There were puddles of water everywhere and inside the little freezer compartment, was just wet.

I checked the sodas, and they had that perspiration on the outside so that means I didn't leave the door ajar. I checked the plug and it was plugged straight into the wall (and then checked w/ a blow dryer plugged into the same socket, it works).

I have no idea what to look at now. There are no fans when I open the fridge up, so nothing could have dislodged anywhere. This was also plugged into a surge protector, so it couldn't have been a power surge. I took all the spoiled stuff and put it in another hall mate's fridge for now. And I unplugged it from the wall, just in case ice got lodged somewhere.

Keep in mind, this fridge is only four months old. Please I need some help.

A manual defrost compact refrigerator.

I check this morning, and everything in there was thawed. There were puddles of water everywhere and inside the little freezer compartment, was just wet.

Hear any noises? Clicking?

this fridge is only four months old

Should still be under warranty, call local warranty depot to have a peek at it for you.

There aren't any noises at all. No clicking, no hums.

I'll wait to call after classes.

Thanks :]

Open control, open overload/relay for the compressor would be main suspects.

I'll wait to call after classes

if you get a chance, let us know what he/she finds.

Wow, they told me to just return it to where I got it from. o___o I guess they are lazy? I wonder how I'll manage to lug this thing 20 miles without a car.

Thanks for everything, Jeff.

Maybe they will pay for a cab ride?!!? ;)

Wow, they told me to just return it to where I got it from

Probably cheaper for them to replace the unit rather than repairing it :(
What a shame!

Thankx for the update.
