Hello out there!!!

Ok, i am new so it took me some time to post this...but my problem is. I need heat in my house. All my wiring is correct for the thermostat i have which, is a RiteTemp 8050c, and my heat is still not kicking in. I didn't have cool air for the summer so i got a tech to come and check it out and now i don't have heat for the winter. I just want to be able to transition from heat to air or visa versa when i need to and have to bring a tech out diggin' in my pockets. Can anyone out there help me.

I have turn off my Gas and the thermostat and my mom wired the up the white wire to W2 on the thermostat and the furnace has a W1 and T2 that has no wires connected. I hope that i have explain my situation ok for someone to understand. Thank, I will be checking for a response periodically because me and my family are COLD!! (still smiling)

fyi, you are posting in the test room..

I am just a hobbiest. There are quite a few furnace pros on here, so wait for their responses too. :bootyshake:

W2 is for a heatpump. If you do not have a heat pump and it sounds like you dont, you need your white wire to the W terminal.

If the above doesnt work, what color wires do you have? (or what are they labeld as)

actually I do have a heat pump and we had the wire on the W2 terminal and now we put it back onto the W terminal sir, but i am thinking that it's a problem with the furnace wiring.

I am trying to firgue out which is for the heat.

the gas pipe line switches are facing down, i have two of them on one pipe line.

I had called the lennox customer service and the representative said that the tech that came out, probably did not rewire to the terminal for heat.

what do you think?

Do you have anything on the W terminal?
What wires do you have?

Did you just install this thermostat?

No sir, the thermostat was installed during the summer around june i believe. the white wire is hooked to the W terminal on the thermostat....but when I to look at the furnace....there is a white wire that is not hooked up. I am look on the left side of my furnace and these wires are in place with where the transformer is.

wiring diagram for the lennox accessories FMP3-1,

it has a termial strip of V,W1,X,T1 and T2
another termial strip of 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10
defrost relay section , time delay relay section
transform,er
heat relay section
wires orange-240v, red-208v,white-120v,black-common and blue to V of thermostat.

I wish I had a picture to attached to send you, but i don't....so i hope this helps.

The white wire is your signal for heat. It needs hooked up to W or W1 on your furnace.. Make sure that wire is coming from the W terminal on your thermostat.

Pictures would be very helpful
