I wish to know the amps capacity of a wire # 4 and # 2 in TW and THHN type or others. Do you know where I can get a table of that ampicity or which ever you call.

It is NEC table 310.16. The answer is also not so simple... Are these wires copper or aluminum? Are they in free air, or a cable or conduit? How many current carrying wires are together? Do you have high ambient temperatures (over 86F)? Are your terminations rated for 75C or just 60C? Is this wire a service conductor or main power feeder to a dwelling?

The simple answer, assuming copper wires, is:

#4 = 70A for 60C terminations or 60C wire (TW, MTW)
#2 = 95A for 60C terminations or 60C wire

#4 = 85A for 75C terminations and 75C or higher wire (THW, THWN, SE, XHHW)
#2 = 115A for 75C terminations and 75C or higher wire
