I've insulated the ceiling/floor between the basement and upper floors because there was no heat in the upper levels. Now into the last stages of the remodel and there is a 3" schedule 40 abs pipe running in the floor/ceiling cavity just above a the bedroom in the basement. Question is: Anyone had any experience with tightly packed blown cellulose insulating the pipes for noise abatement? Once the floor cavity is sealed, I don't want to open it up again. Been a pressure test already, and pipes are well supported with 1/4 slope.
