Slow, double posts

The forum seems slow again. Replies to posts almost always time out, but sometimes that actually make it to the server. I've noticed a lot of double posts. This may indicate that others are having the same problem and hit submit again.

Slow for several days, many times timing out before ever gaining access. Site must be getting too popular. :)

Ran an optimize / repair routine on the database tables, lets see how it goes now...

Double posts could be casued by slow reponse and users as a result clicking the post / submit button more than once.

Still has timeout problems. I don't know if its an issue you deal with (database) or the host system. Some forums I click and they jump right in to the topics. Others, wait and wait and time out. I click again, and usually they pop in. Same things happens with the specific topics.

It seems like something the browser needs early isn't coming, and waiting for it doesn't help. Now, if I wait more than 10 seconds, I'll click the STOP button on the browser and reclick what I want. That seems to get me to the next section more quickly instead of waiting for 30 seconds for a timeout.
