I took the toilet off of the basement floor last night. (just cement/ bathroom was unfinished but someone installed a toilet) Below I found that the cast iron pipe that the ($#@%) travels down was broken at the collar. A chunk of about 2 inches x 2 inches in a triangle shape.

What do I do? I plan on adding subfloor to the bathroom and around the hole so I can secure the bolts to something when i put the new toilet.

Should I just not worry about it since the (#$@!) really has no where else to go but down?

Or is there a collar reinforcement insert that I can buy?

Need an answer quick. Just a couple days left to finish the bathroom project before company comes. Thanks guys

Didn't hear anything back from the forum leaders. You must be busy.

Figured out the collar question on my own.

Catch ya on the next one.:tomato:
