My pool's sand filter backwash outlet port is about 100 feet away from the sewer drain port on my driveway. It is also not a straight run, it is 50 feet in one direction and then another 50 feet at 90 degree angle around the house.

Our city allows back flush into the city sewer as per their web site and our HOA. Our HOA does not allow back flush into the street/gutters.

I tried the cheapo rubber hoses (2.5 inch diameter from hope depot) but they bust half way every time (tried twice). What would be a permanent solution to this issue? :hmmmm2:

Thanks in advnace for your ideas...

Dig a trench and bury 3" poly pipe or even the corrugated black flexible stuff. Use the type with no holes to get to the sewer. I don't know you'll you'll penetrate into the sewer opening -- may still need a hose or pipe setup for that.

What is probably easier is to just dig 50' of trench at least a foot to 18" deep, and bury the perforated version of this pipe in the trench. Backfill with a foot or more of drain rock with a filter fabric to keep dirt from clogging it. This may not be good if you are on a hill and there is a house nearby below, if this pipe is within 25' of a house basement or crawl space, or if there are septic fields close by. But why burden a storm system (and even worse a sewer system) if you don't have to?

Or easiest but uglyest solution would be to buy a 100' roll of the black flex pipe without drain slits. Just lay that across the yard to dump into your sewer and then coil it back up.
