I've got room in attic trusses and need to insulate the diaganal part between the wall and the cieling. It needs to be R38 by code. Any suggestions. It's a 2x8 truss and Ive got shutes in it to move the air up under the roof to the vented cap. The pitch is 8/12. To get an R38 batt in there I would have to fir out from the current 7 1/4 inches to 14. Can I blow cellulose in there instead. I think I would only have to fir out to 10 inches then but it would obviously settle down hill and would probably leave a gap at the top. I'm just not sure how to do it.
