I've discovered a very slow leak (1 drip/minute) in a black PVC drain line (sink, not toilet) that is located in the ceiling between floors. I cut a small hole in the drywall ceiling to verify the problem. The drip is coming from a glue joint between pipe and elbow. The house is 25 yrs old.

Can this leak be repaired somehow, or must I cut out a section and replace it? Does black PVC require different parts and glue than white PVC? Thanks!
