This is an odd problem. I have a brand new 9hp snow blower with a SnowKing engine. It will not pull start. When cold, there is no sign of life. I can electric start, cranking the engine for about 5-10 seconds. I prime the engine, set the choke, pull. and nothing happens. Once running and off the choke, it seems to run ok.
Here is where it gets odd. Once the engine is warm, it can onlt be started if I prime it once. Then it pull starts.
I pulled the plug, and it looks like it is running rich, with a black insulator.
What I don't get is that if the engine is running rich, why does it only start if primed when warm?
