I am moving a toilet and am concerned about venting it properly. I will be moving it about 6 feet and onto an adjacent wall. Can I tie into the main vent or will I have to create a new vent. Thanks.

individual vent is required to be placed within 10' of a 3" trap.
common vent is required to be placed within 6' of a 3" trap.

How far can a toilet drain horizontally and still flush effectively?

I bought a house where they had run a 4" ABS pipe horizontally about 25 feet before it reached the main stack. No vent either other than the main stack! Flushed fine--no trouble in that regard.
