Good day. Wife and I bought our home almost 2 years ago on one condition. That was that she would have a new kitchen put in. House built in 1960 with birchwood everything. The cabinets created a nice U shaped kitchen with a drop in stovetop in the island. The kitchen looked small, and i dont like birchwood so a complete tear out was authorized.

Must have been some cabinet maker. I thought I could just remove the boxes like cabinets today? Not the case. the sweet lil ol lady that lived there had painted the inside pink which fooled me. Noboxes, no back to the cabinet except sheetrock. Needless to say, i could not save even one cabinet. what a waste. You should have seen it. We had a hundred pink squares of paint all over the wall. I will try to post some pics later on.

Well, needless to say, we now have beautiful oak cabinets and new applinaces to go with them, the wife is happy and that is good.

How did these guys make these cabinets. Amazing craftsmenship. Reallly sad destroying them. BTW, they were all held together with nails. must have taken weeks to finish.
