i have a Wolverine Brass single lever faucet, and was surprised to learn that the company will *only* sell repair parts to licensed plumbers. they refuse to sell direct to homeowners, they refuse to sell to local plumbing supply houses, they refuse to sell to home depot.
so i have a choice: pay a local plumber $100 to replace a couple of o-rings, or buy a new faucet (guess what brand i will NOT buy) and pocket the savings.
when i objected to this policy, they suggested i try to buy the parts from a local plumber! (not too likely, because he happened to be dead for several years, but was still in the data base.) maybe his widow has the parts handy, i'll just go ask her.

any comments ontheir policy?

I dislike everything about this product line as a plumber. I've removed and replaced these faucets solely on the reasons you stated as I will not cater to a company that disallows the customer the opportunity to readily find parts for what was installed by a plumber.

Most times the shower valves are first to fail; if you have high water pressure they won't even hold for 2 years.

I have the opportunity to become an authorized seller of their product.......only if I buy in quantity. I can do that by buying ball valves and other types of faucets but in the long run......it's a ripoff.

Do the right thing even though it hurts and abandon the thought of participating in their clan......replace it with something, anything off the shelf locally in your area.

Their intent is deception to force the customer back into the hands of the plumber with a high premium to be made without the customer having any chance to get "others" to do the job.
