Hello,
We are remodeling a 55 year old house and I have a vent question. The drain system has all been replaced with ABS some time a go. My question is about the tub and washer vents. Both the tub and washer have P traps and a very short, 18” or so, run to the 3” main drain. These drains do not have a vent. They enter the main drain down stream of the toilet a few inches. Just up stream of the toilet is the 3” main vent. Is this acceptable or do I need to add a vent to the tub and washer? If I add a vent to the tub and washer can I connect it to the main soil vent?
Thanks!
