I'm installing a fireplace and running galvanized for the NG line. Can I use a flexible gas-line (appliance connector) from the end of my galvanized nipple to the valve inside the fireplace unit. Does anyone know if this will fly? The applicance connector line will be concealed.

In my area you cannot use galvanized for gas.

You can however use a flex appliance connector to the fireplace log.

do not use galvanized for gas. some local codes still allow copper but best bet is black pipe or flex pipe
