Brinks 3000 Door Chime

My Brinks 3000 system door chime was working fine until this afternoon. It suddenly quit chiming. The keypad says "Not Ready". Brinks, of course, was no help. They said a door must be open, but this was not the case.

The system is not monitored - it was here when we moved into the house a month ago. We do not have a user manual or a code. Anybody know of a quick way to reset the door chime feature for this system?

I suspect that your door contact may have gone bad or is damaged.

It's not just one door - all of them stopped working the same day. would one bad contact make the whole system inactive?

Did you try re-enabling the chime feature?,maybe you disabled it by mistake....

Well, my problem is I have never done anything with the keypad, since I was never given the code. It just suddenly quit working. Neither me nor my wife has ever touched one of the keypads. It's unusual.
