polyurethane over laminate.

Has anyone tried this? A friend recomended it. I'm sure manufactureres would never recomend it, but I'm curious if anyone has tried it. It's a pretty small floor in a mild climate.

I assume you are refering to a liquid plastic or varnish and not plastic sheeting. Are you asking if it looks good or....? Indoors? Extra protection or to patch or fix worn spots?

I'm refering to the liquid polyurethane clear coat.

The intent would be for extra protection/ some water protection.

The room is a small kitchen/ entry way. Thus it will get dirty and have spills.

I am concerned if a finish would affect the whole expansion floating floor thing/ If it would look bad.
