Pool Replaster

I did some reading about plastering swimming pools, and decided that is one of those areas where DIY is not easy (materials are hard to get), plus its a skilled job. You'd probably have it looking good at the end of the job whereas the first parts would be crappy. It also seems to be a good job to do with a lot of people.

So here's my results, and I wish I could say it was DIY but it wasn't. Note that there are now three dolphins in the bottom of the pool.

Did you paint the Dolphins at least :D

We have a liner in our inground, debating at some point if we could have gunite or something else sprayed in to get rid of the liner
But not sure how expensive that is

Pool came out real nice, ours is closed up for the winter

The dolphins are tile, so all I did was say higher, left, lower, right until they were about where I wanted then. Then they smooshed them into the plaster.

i'd love to put something like that in the bottom of my pool, but I want it to be a picture of one of those weights or rings that you dive for.. Wanna see how many times someone will go after it!:aetsch:

And if you're really good, you could paint a fifty dollar bill on the bottom, let's see them get that! :lol:

Or if I wanted to keep people out of the pool, I could have put a Baby Ruth bar on the bottom.
