I'm currently in the middle of replacing my old stairwell in my home with a new one and I am having a difficult time getting the measurements for a limited space stairway. My total rise from finish floor to finish floor is 95" and the total run that I can go with is 113" any help with this would be appreciated.

Cut the runner to length and place in place where it will be mounted in the opening. Then take a square and pencil and tape measure. Start at the bottom floor level. Measure up maximum 7 3/4" and make a mark. Then measure horizontal to the floor 10 1/4". Then measure straight up again 7 3/4". Then again measure horizontal 10 1/4" and continue till you get to the top.
Make sure the top step matches the rest of the steps. Remember you must not have one step more than 3/8" difference than any other step in height.
Remember the tread must be at least 10" thick with a 1/4" nose overlap past the riser backing.
Remember the riser must not be more than 7 3/4" high again all being the same high with no more than 3/8" difference in any step.
Good Luck

An experienced carpenter will use a framing square to design your stair runner cuts. A DIYer often uses the method I discribed being less complex as a beginner. HOpe it helps your quest

Your reliable neighborhood carpenter should do the trick for you.
